Posh is a platform enabling people to build and discover in-real-life (IRL) communities based on shared interests. Founded by event organizers frustrated with loneliness and inadequate community-building tools, Posh has grown to 70 employees, 8M+ users, $70M in venture funding, and facilitated over $350M in transactions in six years.
As a Senior Growth Engineer, you'll join a cross-functional engineering team driving user acquisition, engagement, and retention through data-driven strategies and experimentation. You'll develop full-stack features and growth experiments across Posh's two-sided marketplace, collaborating closely with Product, UXR, and Data teams to turn hypotheses into high-impact tests.
Key responsibilities include: building and executing full-stack engineering features and growth experiments to increase user acquisition, retention, and engagement; partnering with Product, UXR, and Data to iterate on early hypotheses; taking a data-oriented approach with scalable tracking systems that provide actionable insights to cross-functional stakeholders; conducting code reviews and contributing to knowledge-sharing within the engineering team; and implementing feature gating, A/B testing, and experiments via platforms like StatSig or LaunchDarkly.
You'll bring 5+ years of experience leading complex technical projects with significant business impact. You're proficient in full-stack technologies (React, React Native, TypeScript, AWS or similar cloud providers) with experience in mobile app development or backend systems. You have strong problem-solving skills, deep knowledge of product metrics and user lifecycle stages, and the ability to lead initiatives and mentor others. You understand growth strategies, experimentation frameworks, and metrics-driven decision-making. Experience at fast-paced early-stage consumer, social, or marketplace companies is a plus.
This is an in-person role at Posh's SoHo office in New York City, where you'll be part of a team revolutionizing how people connect in the real world.
