Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Ground Software Engineer to own the architecture and deployment of software solutions supporting space operations and mission management for U.S. military and allied partners. You will develop modular capabilities for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers across the space domain, architecting the Space Command & Control (C2) system built on Anduril's Lattice AI-powered software platform.
Key responsibilities include owning deployed software solutions, developing Space C2 and Mission Management capabilities for end-to-end mission systems, integrating with legacy defense systems to unlock modern capabilities, and writing code to scale mission capabilities across users and customers. You will collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality, create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring, triage issues and coordinate root cause analysis, and partner with end-users to translate mission needs into engineered features while balancing user experience with technical constraints.
Required qualifications include a strong engineering background (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics), ability to quickly understand complex systems and detailed requirements, capability to solve complex technical problems with minimal oversight, clear communication and documentation skills, ideally 8+ years of experience with multiple programming languages (Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript), experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations, and an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include expertise in Go, Rust, or C++, experience with deployment tooling (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm), exposure to space ground hardware (sensors, radars, telescopes), experience with space-related simulation and hardware integration, and familiarity with space software standards and modular software services development. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical software with real-world impact in the contested space warfighting domain.
