Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager to lead procurement and supplier management for PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) components supporting their Electron and Neutron rocket programs and Space Systems initiatives. Based at their Long Beach headquarters, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with program goals for cost, quality, and delivery timelines. You'll build and maintain strategic supplier relationships from RFI through contract execution and ongoing performance management, leading negotiations on a first-principles basis to secure best-in-class terms. The role involves driving continuous improvement in supplier performance through metrics, scorecards, and regular reviews, while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet requirements across prototyping and full-scale production phases. You will identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure resilience and reliability, engage with Legal and Contracts teams to establish appropriate contractual frameworks, and identify cost savings and avoidance opportunities through cost reduction strategies and should-cost analysis. The position requires conducting market research, staying ahead of industry trends, and acting as the go-to procurement expert solving challenges in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Required qualifications include 5+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supplier management experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent (9+ years total work experience), and U.S. citizenship due to program requirements. Preferred qualifications include aerospace or automotive manufacturing experience, rapid-growth environment exposure, ability to read and interpret technical drawings, APICS certification, AS9100 and export controls knowledge, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
