Divergent is building advanced manufacturing and 3D printing platforms for automotive, aerospace, and defense industries. As Senior Global Supply Manager, you will own strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and procurement execution across critical categories including printer systems (lasers, optics, motion systems, sensors), advanced components (pneumatics, electrical/mechanical assemblies, motors, bearings), material processing services (machining, grinding, coatings, NDT), and manufacturing equipment (CNCs, metrology, robotics, automation). You will operate as the primary sourcing point of contact for internal printer and advanced manufacturing technology development programs, translating project BOMs and schedules into actionable procurement plans across prototype, pilot, and production phases. This includes managing supplier coordination, delivery tracking, expediting, and resolution of material constraints for development builds. Key responsibilities span strategic sourcing and commodity ownership (market analysis, RFx, supplier evaluation, cost analysis, negotiations, sourcing recommendations); program support and NPI procurement (design-for-supply collaboration, manufacturability reviews, part readiness tracking); supplier relationship management (pricing, lead time, capacity, performance reviews, value engineering, long-lead and sole-source procurement); and cost management and commercial negotiation (cost analyses, VA/VE initiatives, cost reduction, complex supplier negotiations). You will collaborate closely with Hardware & Product Engineering, Manufacturing & Integration, Hardware Program Managers, Finance, and Legal to influence cross-functional sourcing decisions for complex requirements with significant cost, schedule, or supply continuity implications. The role requires identifying supply, capacity, commercial, and technology risks within assigned categories and developing mitigation plans. You will develop and maintain a forward-looking sourcing pipeline covering new suppliers, alternate sources, cost reduction opportunities, capacity requirements, and supplier development needs. The position is based on-site in Torrance, CA, with relocation to Divergent's Long Beach facility anticipated in 2027. Occasional domestic and international travel (approximately 10–25%) may be required to support supplier development, sourcing activities, and manufacturing readiness.
