Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Global Sourcing Manager for Plastics & Additive Manufacturing. This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for sourcing critical components and materials that power Anduril's defense systems, which are powered by Lattice OS—an AI-powered operating system for military command and control.
You will be the domain expert for plastics and additive manufacturing commodities (injection molding, 3D printing, etc.), developing and executing commodity strategies focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute end-to-end commodity strategies for plastics and additive manufacturing, ensuring quality parts are delivered on time at optimal cost
• Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and strategic sourcing activities for plastic and additive components
• Own business relationships with external contract manufacturers, managing supply continuity, risk, cost negotiations, and new product introduction (NPI) to manufacturing (MP) execution
• Partner with engineering teams to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements
• Perform detailed total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) analysis on quote submissions, diving deep into supply chain elements to make data-driven decisions
• Negotiate key supplier agreements establishing best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and service terms
• Manage supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics
• Conduct regular technology reviews to executive staff and provide technical direction throughout product lifecycle
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve problems, advance new supplier offerings, and support prototype requirements and build milestones
• Act as primary escalation point for plastics and additive manufacturing commodities
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 6+ years in supply chain commodity management of plastics/additive manufacturing or sourcing engineering; ability to travel up to 50%; willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.
Preferred: Mechanical or materials engineering background; experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries; expertise in TCO analysis; strategic thinking on commodity roadmaps; proven cross-functional leadership; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. TS/SCI clearance.
