Flexport is a global logistics platform that moves over $19B of merchandise across 112 countries annually, connecting nearly 10,000 clients and suppliers. This Senior Operations Associate role is critical to Flexport's mission of making global trade easy for everyone.
You will serve as the front-line operations manager for air freight movements in the Paris region, directly supporting Flexport's account management, customs teams, carriers, terminals, and logistics partners. Your primary responsibility is ensuring all customer shipments execute on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring shipments move on-time and handling exceptions appropriately, meeting internal KPIs and SLAs
- Solving client issues quickly and escalating as needed to maintain smooth operations at origin and destination
- Coordinating day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners including air carriers, customs brokers, warehousing providers, and trucking vendors
- Executing end-to-end movement of freight shipments (both imports and exports) within the regional network, including intermodal movements
- Driving operational efficiencies and identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and supply chain management
- Acting cost-consciously to avoid leakages and maintain profitability
- Following standard operating procedures and maintaining compliance in this heavily regulated industry

Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or completed professional training as a forwarding agent
- 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding with direct air export experience
- Fluent in French and English (other European languages a plus)
- Ability to adapt to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to handle large task volumes
- Attention to detail and effective communication (verbal and written)
