ICEYE is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the Fleet UI team, building mission-critical systems for satellite operators. You will develop sophisticated web applications that directly impact satellite mission outcomes, working on technically rich problems including satellite configuration management, 3D orbit visualization, ground station pass planning, and mission automation. Your responsibilities include building and maintaining features in a React + TypeScript frontend serving real-time satellite operations, collaborating with UI/UX designers on complex data visualizations (timeline views, 3D globe rendering with Cesium, pass planning interfaces), and integrating with multiple backend services via GraphQL and REST APIs. You will drive frontend architecture decisions around state management, component design, and performance optimization, while supporting DevOps work including Docker-based deployments and CI/CD pipeline contributions. You'll write and maintain comprehensive tests using Jest, Testing Library, and Playwright, participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and lead the migration from Webpack 5 to Vite. Required qualifications include 5+ years building production-grade fullstack applications with React, TypeScript (ES6+), and Node.js, plus backend experience with Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask). You need strong component-based architecture knowledge, modern React patterns, state management expertise, and solid experience designing and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs. Testing discipline with Jest and Playwright, proficiency with modern frontend tooling (Vite, webpack, npm), Git workflows, web security best practices, and a relevant degree in Computer Science or related field are essential. Nice-to-have skills include API design expertise, database design and ORM knowledge, modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, AWS), and infrastructure tooling experience (Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD). The role reports to the Engineering Manager of Fleet UI and requires passing applicable security screening. ICEYE is a global scale-up headquartered in Finland with 900+ employees, operating across Europe, North America, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, delivering space-based intelligence and surveillance capabilities to governments and allied nations.
