The company operates across the GCC region and beyond, serving over 15 million users and processing $10 billion in annual transaction volume for 40,000+ global brands including Amazon, Noon, IKEA, and SHEIN. Founded in 2019, Tabby has raised over $1 billion in funding and is valued at $4.3 billion. You'll join a distributed engineering team spanning 20+ countries as a Senior Android Engineer, working on high-impact projects that directly influence the core consumer experience. The role focuses on scaling Tabby's Android application using modern mobile architecture and best practices. The tech stack centers on Kotlin with Coroutines and Flow for reactive programming, a custom MVI architecture with state machines, dependency injection via Yatagan or manual approaches, multi-module project structure, Retrofit for networking, and Coil for image loading. You should bring excellent Kotlin proficiency with deep understanding of Coroutines, solid grasp of MVVM/MVI architectural patterns, and strong hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development. You'll need familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (Dagger/Yatagan), design patterns, and SOLID principles. Understanding garbage collection mechanics, collections performance characteristics, and ability to optimize mobile performance are expected. Strong English communication skills are essential—you'll need to articulate technical positions, surface problems proactively, and pitch ideas to a global team. A pragmatic "getting things done" mindset is valued alongside technical excellence.
