As a Senior Fullstack Developer on the Neuro/ML Squad, you will design and develop robust backend systems supporting Stay22's AI/ML infrastructure. The Neuro team builds and maintains Roam—the company's ML-powered redirection engine—along with associated services including ML pipelines, model hosting, and LLM gateways.
Your focus will be on AI/ML infrastructure (model training is handled by dedicated ML engineers), ensuring smooth data flow through pipelines and reliable inference services. You'll develop scalable APIs and backend services for real-time inference and analytics, while creating tools that enable rapid AI experimentation across the organization.
Key responsibilities include: designing end-to-end AI/ML pipelines from data preparation through model deployment and real-time inference engines; developing backend and APIs for the Roam engine with emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability; building internal client layers and gateways for large language models; collaborating with ML and Data teams to integrate trained models into production; working with the platform team to establish and maintain GCP cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and security best practices; developing internal developer tools to facilitate AI adoption; and ensuring backend systems are well-documented, maintainable, and performant at scale.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of backend-focused software development experience; advanced proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI); strong experience designing and developing scalable APIs and microservices; cloud deployment experience (preferably GCP) with containerization expertise (Docker, Kubernetes); solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and async task management systems (Celery); understanding of ML workflows and production model deployment challenges; CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring/alerting skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities; and strong English language skills for international team communication.
