Narvar is a post-purchase experience platform serving 1300+ retail brands including Nike, GameStop, and Neiman Marcus. The company powers over 125 million consumers across 10+ billion interactions globally.
You'll join the team building Narvar Secure and Narvar Assist—package-protection and AI-powered claims products. Secure enables shoppers to opt into shipping protection at checkout and file claims through a branded self-service portal. Assist uses AI and machine learning to enhance delivery-claim decisions and detect fraud in real time, protecting retailers while resolving issues for consumers.
In this role, you'll own consumer-facing claim experiences end-to-end, from storefront integrations (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and embeddable widgets through a shared claim-decisioning platform.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Frontend Development (Primary): Implement and extend product features; build reusable frontend platform components for internal, external, and ecommerce storefronts; translate Figma designs into robust, accessible, high-performance UI components; own frontend architecture decisions and mentor teammates through code review.
Backend Development (Secondary): Contribute to backend services using Golang and Node.js; work with GCP, CI/CD, and infrastructure deployment; manage datastores including PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, BigQuery, and Bigtable; design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
You bring 6+ years building reliable, scalable systems with deep experience in React or similar frontend frameworks and Node.js or Golang. Critically, you're AI-first in your development approach—treating Claude and similar tools as your primary engineering surface, orchestrating and shipping through them rather than hand-writing code. You're genuinely curious about optimizing your AI workflow and help the team stay on the leading edge.
You have experience building consumer-facing applications consuming microservice APIs, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), strong code quality discipline, and experience mentoring engineers. Startup experience with a growth and product engineering mindset is strongly preferred.
The role requires being located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT or PST hours. Fully remote.
