Orchard Robotics is building AI-powered camera systems and farm management software to automate agricultural decision-making and reduce crop losses. The company has raised over $25M from top-tier investors and is trusted by major US farms.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will own major product features end-to-end for FruitScope OS, the web platform farmers use to manage operations. You'll work across the full technology stack—frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure—to build intuitive interfaces that make complex agricultural data actionable for millions of plants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and shipping major FruitScope OS features from concept through production
- Building scalable backend services, APIs, and data models
- Developing responsive frontend interfaces using modern frameworks
- Creating data visualizations that help farmers understand crop health, yield estimates, and intervention needs
- Working directly with farmers to understand problems and rapidly iterate on solutions
- Taking substantial ownership of technical decisions and product direction
You should have hands-on experience building production-quality web applications at scale, with depth in modern frontend (React), backend (Python), databases (PostgreSQL), and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud preferred). Strong product judgment, ability to work autonomously, bias toward action, and fluency with AI coding tools are essential. The role requires 5 days/week in the San Francisco office and occasional extended hours to meet customer needs. The company emphasizes a culture of resilience, rapid execution, and direct farmer engagement—all team members spend time in the field monthly.
