Altro is building a clinical infrastructure platform for wellness businesses, enabling them to offer blood testing, prescriptions, peptides, and clinical services at scale. The company is backed by top venture capital and founded by Harvard Business School MBAs and experienced operators who have taken startups through exits.
You'll join as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer reporting directly to the CTO, working on a founding-team-caliber seat at a seed-stage company. This is a full-stack role with a front-end lean, where you'll spend most of your time building consumer, partner-facing, and clinician-facing interfaces that operators and their clients use daily, while owning backend work needed to ship features end-to-end.
Key responsibilities include: building polished, fast, intuitive interfaces across consumer and partner portals; owning features completely from problem definition through shipped product (UI, API, migrations, analytics); partnering closely with the designer to ensure UX excellence; leveraging AI tooling throughout the software development lifecycle; and working across a small cross-functional team (clinical ops, product, design, sales) with no silos.
The role emphasizes shipping often (daily deployments), engineering for simplicity with minimal dependencies, and maintaining real ownership across the entire stack. You'll see the direct impact of your work on the business quickly.
Required qualifications: 4-7 years writing production software; deep TypeScript and React/Next.js fluency with experience shipping complex, polished interfaces; strong design sensibility and ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect implementations; a modern typed backend language in production; API design experience (GraphQL or REST); comfort with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and infrastructure; track record of end-to-end feature ownership; and clear async communication skills.
Nice-to-have skills include GraphQL at scale, animation libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP), advanced CSS/Tailwind, design system experience, and familiarity with tracing and structured logging.
This is a founding-team opportunity at a company positioned at the intersection of massive market tailwinds (peptides, GLP-1s, longevity movement) and AI-driven capability expansion. You'll work directly with experienced founders and a CTO who has built and scaled healthtech products through multiple acquisitions.
