The Applications Engineering team transforms quantum research prototypes into production applications, libraries, APIs, and SaaS products for broad use. This Senior Full Stack Software Engineer role is a key contributor to this mission, working at the intersection of quantum innovation and practical software engineering.
You will design and build user-facing applications that clearly demonstrate quantum advantage, with a focus on engaging user experience and domain-specific problem visualization. The role involves developing APIs and library interfaces that make quantum computing accessible to everyday developers, often translating complex quantum concepts into familiar tools and formats that domain experts already know.
Key responsibilities include: collaborating with cross-functional teams (Developer Tools, Infrastructure, Product) to shape how quantum computing is conceptualized and used; polishing internal tools, APIs, and integrations to enable both human users and digital systems to easily consume quantum solutions; designing domain-specific APIs and library interfaces; and helping communicate the value of hybrid classical-quantum computing to a broad audience.
The ideal candidate is excited about applying novel quantum approaches to cutting-edge problems and turning them into clear, concise tools. You'll help define how the next generation of developers visualize and leverage quantum computing.
