Ruya AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company building AI-native intelligent software for sovereign institutions operating in mission-critical environments. The company is headquartered in Massachusetts with offices across the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
You'll join the Quant team responsible for the core product experience. Your focus will be designing and building user-facing systems that transform complex, data-rich information into secure, next-generation interfaces for government and government-affiliated operators. You'll own the frontend experience layer, converting sophisticated operator requirements into reliable, secure, and data-rich user interfaces.
You'll work hands-on, building and operating these systems in close partnership with product designers and other engineering teams. This is a full-stack frontend role where you'll independently deliver frontend work while collaborating on backend integration, testing, and release cycles.
Required skills include strong production experience with TypeScript and React, backend API development with Node.js or Express, relational database knowledge (preferably PostgreSQL), and expertise in authentication, authorization, and browser security. You should have experience delivering complex, data-rich product features and implementing automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end).
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Next.js App Router, Tailwind CSS, TanStack Query, Zustand, visualization libraries (Mapbox GL, deck.gl, Cytoscape, AntV G6), real-time interfaces (SSE, WebSockets), testing frameworks (Playwright, Vitest, Testing Library), and observability tools like Sentry. Experience building AI-enabled products or analyst/operator interfaces is a plus.
The Belgrade, Serbia position is in-person based in Ruya's European office. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are available for UAE locations.
