Ruya AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company building AI-native intelligent software for sovereign institutions operating in mission-critical environments. The company is headquartered in Massachusetts with offices across the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
You'll join the Quant team, responsible for the core product experience. This role focuses on designing and building user-facing systems that transform complex, data-rich information into secure, next-generation interfaces for government and government-related operators. You'll own the frontend experience layer, converting complex operator requirements into secure, reliable, and data-rich user interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and operating frontend systems in close partnership with product designers and backend engineering teams
- Designing secure, reliable interfaces for data-rich applications
- Implementing complex product features with strong attention to user experience
- Collaborating on backend integration, testing, and release processes
- Independently delivering frontend work while coordinating with cross-functional teams
Required experience:
- Strong production experience with TypeScript, React, and modern frontend development
- Backend API development with Node.js, Express, or comparable frameworks
- Relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL
- Delivering complex, data-rich product features
- Authentication, authorization, browser security, and safe content rendering
- Automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Strong product judgment and effective collaboration with designers and engineers
Preferred skills include: Next.js App Router, Tailwind CSS, TanStack Query, Zustand, visualization libraries (Mapbox GL, deck.gl, Cytoscape, AntV G6), real-time interfaces (SSE, WebSockets), Playwright, Vitest, Testing Library, Sentry, and experience building AI-enabled products or analyst interfaces.
The role is based at headquarters in Massachusetts with hybrid flexibility. Remote arrangements available in California, Massachusetts, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, and across the US. International positions available in Dubai, Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia with visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.
