CookUnity is a marketplace platform connecting chefs with customers, delivering 50 million meals annually. The company is expanding beyond meal delivery into a broader chef-empowerment marketplace.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on the Revenue Engine team, you will design and build systems powering promotional campaigns, payment processing, and other revenue-critical capabilities. You'll work end-to-end from system design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end solutions for promotions, payments, and revenue operations
- Develop scalable backend services and customer/internal-facing applications
- Drive technical architecture decisions with focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Business Operations to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Improve system observability and resilience across revenue-critical services
- Lead projects from discovery through implementation and post-launch optimization
- Mentor engineers and contribute to raising technical standards
- Identify opportunities to improve development efficiency and platform health
You'll need 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, strong production-grade backend systems expertise in complex/high-growth environments, and hands-on frontend development with React and TypeScript. Required technical skills include Kotlin or Java, TypeScript, SQL databases, and distributed systems design. You should have proven ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, strong understanding of reliability and scalability best practices, and ability to navigate ambiguity in cross-functional environments. Experience mentoring engineers and supporting on-call rotations is expected.
Preferred qualifications include eCommerce/marketplace/fintech experience, background building revenue-related systems (promotions, pricing, payments), familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Temporal, and GraphQL experience.
