Cohere is a leading enterprise AI company building cutting-edge foundation models and end-to-end products for businesses. The Internal Applications team creates tools that help the company build better models, collaborating with annotators, ML researchers, product managers, and other internal stakeholders.
In this role, you will work with a small, talented team of software engineers to build user-facing products and internal tooling. You'll contribute to both browser and server-side experiences, collaborating with engineering colleagues across all levels through pairing sessions, architectural design, documentation, and technical talks. You'll identify and remove roadblocks to increase team velocity, build resilient mission-critical systems, and stay current with emerging technologies to improve performance and reliability.
This is an ideal fit if you have shipped products with large numbers of stakeholders and are comfortable across the full stack. You should have hands-on experience with complex SQL queries and be proficient in Next.js, TypeScript, React, and Python. Strong communication skills and a commitment to documentation are essential—you should be able to translate complex needs into clear explanations for diverse audiences. Cohere is remote-friendly with offices in Toronto, London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin, and Seoul.
