BitGo Labs is an innovation division within BitGo, the leading digital asset custody and infrastructure provider. Unlike traditional corporate labs, BitGo Labs ships real, revenue-generating products on a compressed timeline—from concept to live product in 90 days.
You will be the engineering backbone for new products, owning the full stack from architecture through deployment and post-launch iteration. Working in a tiny team alongside a senior PM, the Head of Labs, and BitGo's CEO, you'll make all architectural decisions and execute across frontend, backend, data, and deployment. There is no separate frontend or backend team; you are the team.
Each product cycle follows a pattern: take a warm spec, make architecture calls optimized for 90-day delivery, build the entire product (integrating BitGo's custody, wallet, stablecoin, and settlement APIs where needed), use AI as a force multiplier to accelerate development, ship to real users, instrument everything, and iterate. When a product graduates or is shut down, you move to the next one with lessons learned.
Products must clear two bars: (1) a value proposition or economics only possible because of crypto/blockchain, leveraging BitGo's infrastructure advantage, and (2) buildability in 90 days only because of AI-assisted development.
You should have 5+ years of full-stack experience (modern web frontend, API/service design, data modeling, cloud deployment), a track record of building products from zero-to-one (startup, side project, or first engineer on a true greenfield team), and have made AI tools a core part of your daily development workflow. Comfort with crypto concepts is required, though deep protocol expertise is not. You ship over polish, understand which corners can be cut and which cannot (security and money-handling are non-negotiable), and can move on from killed products without attachment to the code.
