Prose is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and ship systems powering Singular, its proprietary AI-powered beauty-tech platform that personalizes hair and skin care products at scale. You'll be part of a deliberately compact, senior engineering team where every engineer owns broad scope and ships to production continuously.
Key responsibilities include designing and building features end-to-end across Python/Django backend services and React frontend applications, owning quality through automated testing, peer review, observability, and production monitoring. You'll contribute to architecture evolution—domain boundaries, data schemas, event-driven patterns—and help advance AI implementation across the tech organization, making AI-augmented development a core daily practice. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, data, and operations stakeholders on features spanning checkout conversion to factory throughput, mentor other engineers, and raise the team's bar through design and code review.
Required qualifications: 5+ years professional software engineering experience with significant time on both backend and frontend in production systems. Strong backend expertise with Python (Django, Rest Framework, FastAPI) and solid modern frontend experience with React and the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem. Deep understanding of scalable application design principles, ability to write clean and maintainable code, and hands-on AI fluency with genuine interest in AI-assisted engineering workflows. Comfortable with cloud-native environments (GCP, Docker, CI/CD), pragmatic mindset balancing perfection with PoCs, and autonomous ownership of outcomes. Prior B2C, e-commerce, or manufacturing experience is a plus. English fluency required.
