Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 / annual
SoundCloud is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the Artist Success team, taking technical ownership of tools that help artists understand their audiences, grow their careers, and enable music industry discovery. You will work within a high-performing, multi-disciplinary squad across frontend (React, iOS, Android) and backend (GraphQL, TypeScript) services, focused on strategic products including the A&R Dashboard, Fan Insights, and artist-facing growth experiences.
This is an IC-heavy role for a technical expert who drives architecture and execution while maintaining hands-on code involvement. You will be a generalist capable of navigating user-facing application logic, service architecture, data-intensive systems, and infrastructure bottlenecks with equal ease.
Key responsibilities include:
- Shaping technical direction and roadmap across Artist Success products, making thoughtful architectural decisions and building scalable, secure systems supporting large datasets and high-performance experiences
- Acting as a senior technical contributor for a small expert squad, contributing through architectural clarity, rigorous peer reviews, and maintaining high execution momentum
- Working as a peer to Product Managers and Designers to define requirements, translating vague business needs into concrete technical solutions
- Ensuring high technical standards across frontend and backend disciplines, contributing to overall technical health, consistency, and long-term codebase sustainability
- Owning infrastructure and domain health, managing deployment patterns, infrastructure as code using Terraform, and adhering to modern security standards
- Leveraging agentic workflows and AI-assisted engineering as a force multiplier while keeping user and builder needs at the center

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-6+ years of experience with React and modern frontend development, with ability to influence architectural decisions and drive best practices; native iOS or Android experience is a plus
- Strong proficiency in GraphQL and TypeScript for building reliable APIs and services; familiarity with Golang or Scala
- Strong understanding of storage, querying, and data-intensive systems such as BigQuery and SQL
- Strong capability in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, and container orchestration
- Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, design, and data
- Demonstrated ability to leverage modern AI and agentic tools to improve quality and velocity while applying sound judgment around when human expertise is essential, maintaining code quality, product standards, maintainability, and user experience
