Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Fuel Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced aircraft fuel systems for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. You will own the full development lifecycle from concept generation through integration and flight testing, ensuring high-performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems for complex, contested environments. In this role, you will design and develop aircraft fuel systems supporting multiple air vehicle programs from concept through testing and qualification. Your responsibilities include performing detailed design of fuel system components such as tubing, pumps, filtration, gauging, venting, and refueling/defueling systems. You will partner with software engineering, systems, testing, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop and integrate fuel system hardware. You will support component selection, prototype builds, qualification, and testing throughout the development lifecycle. Working collaboratively with senior engineers and fuel systems architects, you will gradually take ownership of increasingly complex fuel system designs. Required qualifications include a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience, plus 8+ years designing aircraft fuel systems or closely related aerospace fluid systems. You must have experience supporting the product lifecycle from concept through testing and qualification, proficiency with Siemens NX or comparable CAD software (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks), and a strong understanding of fluid mechanics and mechanical design fundamentals. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Preferred qualifications include experience working with suppliers, component selection, or prototype development; experience with one-dimensional fluid analysis tools such as AMESIM, Flowmaster, or Easy5; and an active U.S. Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
