Join Canva's Pages Platform group as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer on the CMS team. You'll work on building platforms and tooling that improve efficiency in creating and managing content at scale. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying solutions for content management systems; collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across Canva to deliver user-facing features; communicating effectively across teams to address complex problems; facilitating knowledge sharing and advocating for engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders; and identifying opportunities for cross-team collaboration.
The CMS team creates a content management solution tailored to Canva's unique needs, with features for experimentation, localization, asset hosting, and more. You'll work on capabilities spanning localization, experimentation, UX, and other problem spaces, designing solutions that provide cohesive and intuitive experiences for platform users.
Canva operates with flexibility in where and how you work. The flagship campus is in Sydney, with additional offices in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. You'll have choice in your work arrangement.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer Science Fundamentals: solid understanding of concurrency, multithreading, data structures, architecture, and design patterns
- Frontend Engineering: proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React and TypeScript, with consideration for cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization
- Passion for UX and collaboration: enthusiasm for crafting exceptional user experiences and working closely with designers and engineers
- Collaborative mindset: ability to thrive in cross-functional environments
- Strong strategic skills: ability to break down complex projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work efficiently
