Weave is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a cross-functional agile team focused on building desktop client applications using modern web technologies. You will work alongside product managers and backend engineers in a highly autonomous team environment with significant ownership over your work and its impact on customer experience.
In this role, you will build and maintain features for Weave's desktop clients using TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS, while contributing to the underlying platform and shared libraries. You'll communicate across teams to coordinate efforts, maintain long-term code quality standards, and collaborate in a high-trust environment. As a valued team member, you'll pitch in where needed to support varying goals and help cultivate the team's culture.
The position is fully remote and reports to a Senior Engineering Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience developing rich applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and web technologies
- 3+ years of experience with at least one modern web application framework (React, Angular, Ember, or similar)
- Experience building high-performance, reusable code (e.g., UI components)
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with debugging
Preferred qualifications:
- Performance tuning and benchmarking experience
- Familiarity with web platform trends
- Experience with NW.js or Electron
- Idiomatic TypeScript expertise
- React with Redux experience
- Familiarity with Sentry and Storybook
- Testing experience with Jest and Cypress.io
