As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will translate designs from the design team into production React code, with a focus on creating sleek, intuitive user experiences that differentiate Taekus from traditional banks. The company emphasizes that a key competitive advantage is a superior web portal—travel rewards are notoriously hard to maximize due to convoluted interfaces, and Taekus aims to solve this with thoughtful, helpful UX.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with designers and engineers on feature scoping and product direction, participating in code and design reviews to maintain quality and architecture standards, writing maintainable and well-tested code, establishing frontend architecture patterns that will scale as the team grows, and providing technical guidance to team members.
You should have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally from startups or big tech companies. Production-grade expertise in React, TypeScript, and Redux is required. You must be comfortable building aesthetically polished UIs with strong UX, and have experience interacting with databases via SQL and APIs. Nice-to-haves include a passion for travel and credit card rewards optimization, experience leading engineering teams and setting design standards, familiarity with Django, Python, Expo Go, and Postgres, and prior work in regulated industries like financial services.
