Legion is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the team responsible for building and evolving a high-performance, data-driven enterprise application. The Legion platform implements sophisticated scheduling and optimization algorithms and provides endpoints for web and mobile frontend applications.
You will be responsible for implementing and evolving the frontend architecture, writing secure and efficient enterprise-quality code with deep understanding of scalability and performance techniques. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting architecture sessions, designing and building enhancements and extensions, creating integration and unit testing plans, and helping multiple customers with their implementations.
You will work across the full stack, collaborating with backend teams using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, and JSON. The role requires strong communication skills to work with customers at all organizational levels, manage expectations, and adapt to different customer cultures. You will participate in an on-call rotation and may travel to customer locations as needed.
Required qualifications include 5-7 years of experience with AngularJS and React, strong proficiency in CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery with cross-browser compatibility knowledge. Experience upgrading from AngularJS to React is preferred. Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MySQL is helpful. Experience with AWS, containerization, and cloud deployments is desirable. You should have a track record building software products with complex multi-configuration scenarios in cloud-based environments, rather than consulting or portal development work. Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
