Salary: USD 175,000 - 240,000 / annual
LangChain is building the foundation for agent engineering, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents. The LangSmith team owns the core platform for observability, evaluation, and production reliability of AI systems—used by 6,000+ customers including 5 of the Fortune 10 and 35% of the Fortune 500 (Klarna, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, Bridgewater, and others).
You will develop and enhance new user-facing features on LangSmith, the enterprise platform for LLM application observability, testing, and debugging. This role is based onsite in Boston and focuses on frontend development using modern web technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new user-facing features using React & TypeScript
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimize components for maximum performance across diverse web-capable devices and browsers
- Collaborate with fullstack and backend developers and UX/UI designers to enhance usability
Requirements:
- Extensive front-end engineering experience with strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with front-end development tools (Babel, Vite, Webpack, NPM, Yarn)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and experience working closely with fullstack and backend engineers
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms such as JWTs
- Passion for user experience, design, and building clean, engaging, intuitive interfaces
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment; views ambiguity as opportunity
- Ownership mindset; self-driven with focus on high-impact work
- Strong computer science fundamentals, ideally with a degree in computer science or related field
