Salary: CAD 160,000 - 220,000 / annual

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will own the design system and component infrastructure that powers Faire's web surfaces. Your responsibilities include designing and building reusable, high-quality components that scale across the platform; championing accessibility (WCAG) and performance best practices; establishing testing strategies and quality gates; and partnering with engineers across the company to drive adoption and evolve the system based on real usage. You'll contribute to the technical direction of frontend architecture, explore AI-assisted tooling to accelerate design processes, and mentor other engineers while raising the bar for frontend craftsmanship across the organization.
You bring 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. You have strong collaboration skills and experience working closely with Product Design and cross-functional engineering teams. Critically, you have hands-on experience building or maintaining a design system, component library, or shared UI platform used by multiple product teams. You understand accessibility standards deeply, have demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from conception through execution, and can influence technical direction beyond your immediate team. You're passionate about creating high-quality, scalable, maintainable code and making other engineers more productive. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience is required.
The tech stack includes React, TypeScript, Next.js, NX, Figma, Storybook, Playwright, REST and streaming APIs, and integration with backend services written in Kotlin.

The hybrid model requires 3 days per week in office (Tuesdays, Thursdays, plus one flex day), with flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.
