Sarvam AI is building transformative AI technologies at the forefront of India's AI revolution. We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to architect and deliver production-grade web applications for cutting-edge AI agent interfaces.
You will own the frontend architecture for AI-powered products, working with Next.js, React, and TypeScript in a modern Turborepo monorepo. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable frontend systems, designing and maintaining shared component libraries using shadcn/ui and Radix UI patterns, and building sophisticated AI agent interfaces including conversational UIs. You'll optimize for performance across Core Web Vitals, bundle size, and runtime efficiency, implement responsive and accessible designs, and integrate with backend services handling real-time data, streaming responses, and state synchronization.
Required expertise: 3+ years of production React experience with deep knowledge of Server Components and App Router; advanced TypeScript with generics, conditional types, and strict mode; Tailwind CSS (v4 preferred) with responsive design and animations; advanced state management using Jotai, TanStack Query, React Hook Form, and Zod; hands-on Turborepo or pnpm monorepo experience; design system work with headless component libraries; proven performance optimization track record; and REST/WebSocket/SSE API integration experience.
Nice-to-have skills include AI/ML product interface experience, Framer Motion expertise, browser automation with Playwright/Cypress, advanced TypeScript patterns, CI/CD and containerization knowledge, and monitoring tools like Sentry or DataDog.
