Salary: USD 175,000 - 240,000 / annual
LangChain is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to develop and enhance features on LangSmith, their enterprise observability and evaluation platform for LLM applications. You will work in-office (5 days/week) in San Francisco, with options for New York or Boston offices.
In this role, you will develop new user-facing features using React and TypeScript, build reusable component libraries, translate designs into high-quality code, and optimize components for performance across devices and browsers. You'll collaborate closely with fullstack engineers, backend developers, and UX/UI designers to enhance platform usability and user experience.
You bring extensive frontend engineering experience with strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. You have hands-on experience with modern frontend tooling (Babel, Vite, Webpack, NPM, Yarn), familiarity with REST APIs, and knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms like JWTs. You're passionate about user experience and building clean, intuitive interfaces with strong communication skills.
You thrive in fast-paced startup environments, viewing unstructured situations as opportunities to define impactful work. You have an ownership mindset, are self-driven, and actively seek ways to make an impact. Strong computer science fundamentals and ideally a degree in computer science or related field are expected.
