Tempo is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join its engineering team. With over 30,000 customers including a third of Fortune 500 companies, Tempo is the #1 time management add-on for Jira and a trusted name in the Atlassian ecosystem. You will develop flagship products including Tempo Timesheets, Capacity Planner, and Financial Manager for Jira Cloud.
In this role, you will write efficient, readable, maintainable, and testable client-side code using TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frameworks. You'll create unit tests and occasionally integration and performance tests, review peer code, and solve challenging problems with attention to user experience, security, and performance. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and technical writers to build products used by thousands of enterprise users.
You bring 4+ years of commercial frontend development experience, with at least 1+ year working with TypeScript and React. You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with solid fundamentals in big-O notation, data structures, and algorithms. You're proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5, with demonstrated experience building complex user interfaces and optimizing performance. You communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written, and can work autonomously in a remote environment without extensive oversight. You're comfortable learning new topics and collaborating on technical specifications with teammates. Experience with Java/Kotlin is a plus.
