CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join their team developing advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and aerospace platforms. This role focuses on FPGA circuit and systems design across the full development lifecycle, from initial design through verification, testing, and deployment. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and implementing FPGA circuits at the HDL level, including high-speed serial interfaces, digital processing cores, multi-clock domain management, and control interfaces - Conducting comprehensive testing, validation, and verification of FPGA designs - Collaborating across cross-functional teams in a dynamic startup environment - Presenting engineering design reviews to customers and executive leadership - Contributing to proposal-writing efforts - Communicating technical concepts clearly in written and verbal formats The ideal candidate brings: - Proven experience in FPGA design, verification, test, and deployment at the HDL level - Strong background in high-speed digital design and complex clock domain management - Experience with digital signal processing or board-level hardware design (desirable) - Excellent communication skills for technical presentations and documentation - Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a startup setting - U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status (required for government space technology export compliance) This position is initially remote with a planned transition to in-person work at the Melbourne, Florida office once it is established. The role offers hands-on involvement in cutting-edge aerospace and satellite technology development.
