CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join their team in Westminster, Colorado. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will own FPGA circuit and system design across the full development lifecycle—from initial design through verification, testing, and deployment. You will work at the HDL level to design complex FPGA systems featuring high-speed serial interfaces, data streams, digital processing cores, multiple clock domains, and management interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing FPGA HDL designs for aerospace and satellite applications
- Conducting comprehensive testing, validation, and verification of FPGA designs
- Collaborating across cross-functional teams in a dynamic startup environment
- Presenting engineering design reviews to customers and executive leadership
- Contributing to proposal-writing efforts
The ideal candidate brings:
- Strong experience in FPGA design, verification, test, and deployment at the HDL level
- Expertise in high-speed serial interfaces and complex digital systems
- Experience managing multiple clock domains and integration challenges
- Desirable background in digital signal processing or board-level hardware design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This is a hands-on, autonomous role in a startup environment focused on cutting-edge aerospace hardware. U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status is required due to export control regulations.
