You will lead a cross-functional engineering team (Electrical, Firmware, FPGA, Test) to deliver robust embedded compute solutions for vehicle management, DSP, and networking in defense applications. Key responsibilities include driving the full hardware product development lifecycle from concept through requirements definition, architecture, design, development, bring-up, test, integration, and sustainment for high-performance PCBs hosting FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs. You will establish and optimize comprehensive product development workflows and best practices across hardware and firmware lifecycles, encompassing architecture, design, simulation, verification, and system testing. You will collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders, product management, and customers to define product requirements, develop strategic roadmaps, and ensure scalable deployment of core technology solutions across Anduril. Additionally, you will manage and communicate detailed product development schedules, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring clear task assignments, accountability, and timely execution. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 7+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive, or similar hardware environments, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional hardware and embedded systems product development teams. You must be proficient in HDL languages (VHDL, Verilog), familiar with MCU, CPU, and FPGA devices, standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB), signal and power integrity design, modern analog and digital electronics, test equipment operation, and Altium Designer or equivalent EDA tools. Familiarity with flight software architectures, high-reliability aerospace designs, and aircraft systems architectures with redundant systems is required. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software design for flight-critical applications, familiarity with aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, DO-311A) and military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461), expertise in computer networking, and experience implementing enhanced security measures.
