Fin, an AI Customer Agent company, is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with strategic customers and bridge the gap between their business goals and Fin's AI Agent for Customer Service. This is a founding role in a newly expanded function.
You will drive adoption of Fin by helping customers unlock AI capabilities to automate and scale their support operations. You'll embed deeply with strategic customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements, providing expert guidance to achieve outstanding results. Working hands-on with customers' technical teams, you'll code side-by-side to drive projects to completion while serving as a technical expert and trusted advisor.
Collaboration is central to this role. You'll work closely with Sales, Success, and Product teams to ensure seamless customer experiences, project success, and actionable product feedback. You'll also contribute to evolving the Forward Deployed Engineering function by codifying best practices and sharing insights from customer engagements to help the team scale.
Key responsibilities include driving Fin adoption with prospects, embedding with strategic customers to understand their needs, working hands-on with customer technical teams, collaborating across Sales/Success/Product, and helping establish best practices for the new function.
You should have experience building exciting SaaS products and ideally come from a startup background (founder or early engineer). You're interested in AI/ML and can quickly build understanding of novel problems, capabilities, and architectures. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are essential, along with deep knowledge of high-level programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.). You should be able to prototype and ship software quickly while maintaining quality, be proficient with REST APIs, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and be willing to travel and work on-site with customers.
