Gradial is an AI-native marketing operations platform that helps marketers and creatives move from idea to execution faster by orchestrating across martech stacks, workflows, and people. The company is Series B-backed and focused on building software that adapts to users rather than forcing users to adapt.
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead technical implementations of Gradial's AI platform directly with enterprise customers. This is a hands-on role combining full-stack development with customer-facing problem-solving. You'll own the complete lifecycle of enterprise deployments: discovery, prototyping, implementation, and post-launch optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead technical discovery and implementation for new enterprise customers, translating business processes into AI-native solutions
- Build, deploy, and optimize features integrating customer systems with Gradial's LLM-driven platform
- Develop reusable tools, adapters, and configuration layers for scalable enterprise onboarding
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders (marketing, operations, engineering) to define requirements and iterate in real time
- Work with Gradial's product and engineering teams to incorporate field learnings into the core roadmap
- Contribute to technical documentation and implementation playbooks
- Own performance, reliability, and maintainability of deployed solutions
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering or technical implementation experience, preferably customer-facing
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript or similar languages
- Deep understanding of APIs and systems integration
- Ability to rapidly understand enterprise software architectures (CMS, DAM, workflow tools)
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- High ownership mindset with comfort operating independently in ambiguous situations
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise customers in content, marketing, or digital operations
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI pipelines, and agent-style automation frameworks
- Willingness to travel occasionally (<10%) for customer work
The role offers competitive compensation, meaningful equity, comprehensive health/dental/vision coverage, and the opportunity to work on category-defining AI infrastructure in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
