Axiado is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join the System Manager team, working on cutting-edge secure root of trust technologies. You will design, develop, integrate, and validate low-level platform firmware responsible for system management, secure boot, platform security, device management, and recovery functionality. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a high-performing engineering team on AI-powered digital infrastructure that protects critical systems at the hardware foundation level, independent of host CPUs and operating systems.
The role emphasizes independent ownership of features from requirements and design through implementation, integration, validation, and release. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to a recognized leader in the convergence of AI, security, and silicon innovation. REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- 6–10 years of experience in Embedded Firmware/Software development
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C, data structures, and low-level programming
- Strong hands-on experience with any RTOS (FreeRTOS preferred)
- Good understanding of ARM-based SoCs and multicore architecture
- Experience developing and debugging low-level drivers
- Strong system-level debugging skills using JTAG, logs, crash/exception analysis
- Familiarity with Git, code reviews, unit testing, static analysis, and CI/CD
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
PREFERRED/ADDITIONAL:
- Experience with SPDM, PLDM, MCTP protocols
- Experience with Caliptra and Crypto/security APIs
- Experience with bootloaders and platform firmware (initialization, boot flows, reset handling, recovery, firmware-update mechanisms)
- Understanding of firmware authentication/signature verification and OTP provisioning
