Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to own the complete embedded firmware stack for Connected Warfare systems—advanced autonomous military platforms that fuse sensor data, communications, and real-time control into deployable hardware for contested environments.
You will architect and develop firmware from first power-on through field deployment, making critical technical decisions about drivers, protocols, and real-time behavior. The role spans board bring-up, low-level driver development for sensors and communication interfaces, system integration, and field testing. You'll be the technical authority the team turns to for problems at the hardware-software boundary, working directly with Electrical Engineering to influence hardware design and resolve cross-boundary issues.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end firmware development for the product line; architecting reusable, maintainable, and scalable firmware solutions; developing drivers for sensors, peripherals, and communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, Ethernet, USB, RS232, RS485); debugging complex hardware-firmware-software integration issues; reviewing schematics and providing firmware perspective on hardware decisions; mentoring junior firmware engineers; and establishing firmware architecture standards and coding practices.
Required: BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; 4+ years professional firmware or embedded software development; expert-level C coding for embedded systems; deep experience in bare-metal and RTOS environments; hands-on board bring-up and schematic review experience; proficiency with multiple bus protocols; and strong debugging skills across the hardware-software boundary.
