Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual
Vouch is a tech-enabled insurance advisory and brokerage serving high-growth companies in technology, life sciences, and professional services. Backed by over $200M in funding, the company combines deep industry expertise with AI-powered tools to deliver a modern insurance experience.
In this role, you will own critical financial reporting and analysis that drives business decisions at Vouch. You report directly to the Head of Finance on a small team, giving you significant ownership and direct exposure to leadership from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own headcount tracking and budget vs. actual reporting
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal management, the Board of Directors, investors, and external stakeholders
- Support the annual budget build and ongoing forecast updates that inform business operations decisions
- Support monthly close deliverables, including accrual calculations and vendor coding analysis
- Calculate and process monthly partnership payouts
- Contribute to cost-to-serve and LTV methodology development and calculations
- Deliver weekly budget vs. actual readouts to the business
- Meet with business partners across the company to explain monthly results and translate insights into forecast updates
You'll produce the reporting that Vouch runs on—budget variance analysis, headcount tracking, monthly close deliverables, and partnership payout management. Your work directly informs how leadership thinks about unit economics and reaches both internal executives and high-stakes external audiences including the Board.
Work Environment:
Vouch has offices in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) to foster collaboration and team building.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or an accounting role requiring transactional analysis
- Ability to identify variances in budget vs. actual analysis and pinpoint issues
- Comfort with basic accrual accounting and the analysis behind it
- Experience building bottoms-up opex budgets and understanding how they come together
- Ability to own analysis and present findings to business partners directly, not just deliver files
- Strong communication skills for explaining financial results to non-finance audiences
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where reporting categories can change
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments
- Background in insurance or related regulated industries
