ARX Robotics is seeking a Senior Facility Manager to oversee facility operations and site infrastructure across their Munich locations. The company develops autonomous unmanned systems and sensors for the European defence sector, supporting NATO armies and civilian first responders.
In this role, you will take ownership of facility operations and site infrastructure work streams, combining hands-on operational responsibility with end-to-end delivery of improvement and expansion initiatives. You will work independently, coordinate internal stakeholders and external service providers, and make well-founded decisions while adhering to budgets, safety guidelines, and decision-making authorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing external service providers (cleaning, waste, building services), setting clear expectations, monitoring quality and delivery, and addressing performance issues
- Planning and coordinating maintenance requests, repairs, preventive maintenance, and statutory inspections
- Identifying and resolving operational problems independently, making timely decisions within your authority while considering quality, speed, cost, safety, and business priorities
- Tracking facility budgets and costs, explaining variances, and coordinating invoice processing
- Improving recurring processes, procedures, and service standards; maintaining clear facility documentation and sharing effective practices across sites
- Supporting operational health and safety, sustainability monitoring, and access-related facility arrangements in coordination with internal and external specialists
- Driving facility contributions to site set-up, fit-out, office moves, space planning, and expansion initiatives in close coordination with the Head of Infrastructure and Expansion
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in facility management, site operations, project coordination, or comparable operational role
- Demonstrated ability to own cross-functional workstreams end to end, from unclear operational need to coordinated delivery and measurable results, with minimal day-to-day guidance
- Sound judgement and ability to prioritize competing needs and balance quality, speed, cost, and business impact within defined decision-making boundaries
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting and improving processes, with strong follow-through and focus on measurable outcomes
- Experience managing external service providers and building trusted relationships with stakeholders across functions
- Sound understanding of maintenance, inspections, building services, and operational health and safety topics
- Clear communication skills, including ability to navigate complex discussions and resolve disagreements constructively
- Calm, accountable, and solution-oriented approach when priorities change or unexpected challenges arise
- Confidence using common digital workplace tools and maintaining clear, accurate records
- Willingness to work across multiple sites and travel to relevant locations as required
- Fluent written and spoken German, and ability to communicate confidently in English
