Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Explosives Operations Engineer to join the Lethality Team in McHenry, Mississippi. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on explosives operations, safety, compliance, and mission execution—moving beyond design-only work to enable explosive systems to transition from development through testing and field support.
You will plan, organize, and execute explosives operations across Anduril's product portfolio (Roadrunner, Bolt, Barracuda, Altius, Copperhead) deployed across land, sea, and air domains. Key responsibilities include leading range safety activities, developing site laydowns and blast/fragmentation mitigation strategies, drafting and enforcing explosive safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with DoD, ATF/ATFE, DOT, OSHA, and internal safety requirements.
You will serve as a subject matter expert on explosives handling, storage, inventory, security, and regulatory compliance. The role requires close partnership across engineering, manufacturing, program teams, legal, finance, business development, and EHS to translate product and customer requirements into operational plans. You'll train personnel on safe handling, work in austere environments with both USG and non-USG customers, and continuously improve explosives operations and training programs.
The impact centers on enabling safe, scalable deployment across Anduril's product portfolio; increasing operational velocity without compromising compliance; strengthening explosives operations as the business scales; and translating complex mission needs into real-world executable operations that advance Anduril's defense technology mission.
