We're seeking a Senior Enterprise Engineer to join our Data team. You'll architect and build interconnected systems that power the business, working with third-party tools, MCP servers, internal APIs, lightweight web apps, and automated workflows. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver reliable, well-crafted solutions.
This role is ideal for a seasoned Python engineer comfortable owning complex projects end-to-end—from scoping and architecture through deployment and maintenance. Our team is small, high-trust, and values clarity, maintainability, and precision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain MCP servers exposing data platform capabilities and enterprise systems to internal tools and AI workflows
- Develop internal APIs to enrich programmatically addressable resources
- Create lightweight web apps and dashboards using Streamlit for internal processes
- Develop stateful applications ensuring compliance with policies and SOPs
- Build and manage automated workflows and pipelines in Python
- Manage SDLC to convert user-built macros and tools into standalone services and low-code workflows
- Define coding standards for AI agent interactions across Branch
- Collaborate across teams to scope and deliver solutions
- Write clean, well-documented code and foster technical quality
Required qualifications: 5+ years professional Python engineering; 3+ years designing and building APIs (FastAPI/Flask preferred); 3+ years full-stack Python development; experience with MCP servers; deterministic LLM programming (LangChain, etc.); familiarity with OLTP databases and caching; strong SQL and relational database skills; excellent cross-functional communication; proven ability to own full project lifecycle.
Nice-to-have: fintech/payments/financial services background; Streamlit or similar UI framework experience; workflow automation tools (Airflow, Prefect, n8n); cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
