Twilio is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Agent Implementations team within the Conversational Agents Organization. This role focuses on building the bridge between AI agents and the Twilio platform, with responsibility for creating and operating best-in-class agents that power Twilio's internal business workflows.
Key responsibilities include leading engineering strategy and execution for enabling customer AI agents to securely consume Twilio platform capabilities; building and scaling systems that power AI agents for internal business operations; collaborating across product, platform, security, and go-to-market teams to identify high-impact AI agent use cases; cultivating a high-performing engineering team through hiring, mentoring, and developing managers and engineers; driving operational excellence through metrics, roadmap planning, and ensuring reliability and compliance; and acquiring new technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications: 5+ years hands-on experience as an engineer writing production-grade code in modern programming languages; 3+ years directly supervising engineering teams across different disciplines; experience fostering technical excellence and guiding teams through technical design decisions; proven track record of shipping products to production and iterating on customer feedback; strong customer focus; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and passion for emerging technologies.
Desired qualifications include experience building products from idea to product-market fit, leading development of LLM-based products or features, and a builder mentality with hands-on passion for seeing work come to life.
