You will lead the Payments Execution team within Rippling's newly formed Money Movement & Treasury organization. This is a critical role owning the reliability, scalability, and platformization of orchestration and payment methods systems that power global money movement. While a sister team in Seattle focuses on next-generation ledger architecture, your team executes the core payment infrastructure.
You will manage a foundational team of 6 engineers with a clear mandate to scale both headcount and systems into a core pillar of Rippling's financial infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
- Own the execution layer: Lead and scale the team focused on orchestration platformization and standardizing payment method components across geographies.
- Drive system reliability: Own uptime and resilience for critical money movement systems, establishing operational rigor and monitoring standards.
- Build scalable infrastructure: Design and implement systems that handle increasing transaction volume and geographic complexity.
- Mentor and grow engineers: Develop your team's technical capabilities while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with product, finance, and infrastructure teams to align on roadmap and execution.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You should be comfortable diving into technical details, unblocking your team, and maintaining operational excellence in a fast-moving fintech environment. The role requires someone who balances strategic thinking about system architecture with day-to-day operational discipline.
