KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead one or more agile engineering teams building KAYAK for Business, a corporate travel technology platform. This role is based in Concord or Cambridge, MA with a hybrid requirement of 3 days per week in office. You will manage the full people lifecycle—hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, and promotions—while coaching engineers at multiple levels through structured feedback and deliberate career conversations. The role demands strong technical fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, and backend service architecture, with the ability to guide architectural decisions and participate meaningfully in design reviews. Key responsibilities include leading productive teams shipping high-quality software in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment, steering organizational transformation and process optimization, and driving agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices. You'll own the full software development lifecycle, from sprint planning through observability and automated testing, and be comfortable adopting AI-assisted development tools to improve team productivity. You'll collaborate effectively across product, design, and engineering functions, articulating a clear technical vision to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working in global engineering organizations with distributed teams across time zones is essential. Required qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in engineering leadership or management directly managing software engineers; 3+ years managing teams in B2B SaaS applications with proven success onboarding enterprise and SMB clients; demonstrated ownership in data-driven, results-oriented environments; hands-on experience with modern development tooling (GitHub, Jira, logging/observability platforms); and a degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. KAYAK offers competitive benefits including flexible remote work (up to 20 days/year), company-paid mental health support (SpringHealth, Headspace), paid parental leave, generous PTO, development dollars, leadership development programs, and quarterly team events.
