Robinhood is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Agent Experience team, which builds AI-powered customer support and premium wealth management features. You'll manage a team of ~15 full-stack engineers (iOS, Android, web, backend, LLM/AI) responsible for Concierge, a first-of-its-kind private wealth product for high-net-worth customers, and other zero-to-one initiatives at the intersection of AI and customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing engineering team across hiring, performance management, and career development
- Partnering with product managers and data scientists to define and execute the Concierge product roadmap from scoping through launch
- Driving delivery of complex, zero-to-one product features including AI-powered financial planning tools
- Navigating ambiguity and product direction changes while maintaining team focus and momentum
- Representing engineering in executive-level discussions, communicating progress, risks, and tradeoffs to senior leadership and C-suite
- Establishing proactive quality measures, reliability standards, and engineering best practices for a high-risk, customer-facing product
- Championing a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in engineering management leading teams of 10+
- Demonstrated track record leading user-facing product development, ideally in consumer fintech or wealth management
- Experience building or scaling zero-to-one products with high ambiguity and frequent direction changes
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills with product managers
- Comfort presenting to and engaging with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders
- Proven ability to build and maintain service reliability standards on consumer-grade systems
- Familiarity with LLM/AI systems or experience working alongside AI-powered feature teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-have: experience in regulated financial products, wealth management offerings (tax, estate planning), platform/infrastructure background, or experience supporting teams through organizational transitions.
Role is based in Menlo Park with 5 days per week in-office attendance required.
