As a Senior Python Engineer, you will own and maintain backend microservices within Tide's service catalogue, taking full responsibility for design, implementation, deployment, and global scaling. You'll work in small, cross-functional agile squads organized by domain, collaborating closely with product teams, mobile/web engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions.
Key responsibilities include defining service architecture and roadmaps aligned with target domain architecture, mentoring junior backend engineers across multiple teams, selecting technology partners with the product team, and contributing to Communities of Practice to establish best practices. You'll balance design, implementation, and mentoring while driving complex multi-domain initiatives forward.
The role requires proven expertise as a Python developer with hands-on experience in AWS (Lambda, Fargate, EKS, SQS, SNS, SES, S3), frameworks like Django, FastAPI, and Flask, and REST API design/integration. You should understand software engineering fundamentals (SOLID, ACID, testing), have experience with event-driven microservices and message queues, and be comfortable working in Scrum/Agile environments. Salesforce integration experience is desirable.
