Flutterwave is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with deep frontend expertise to lead the development of merchant-facing products. You will own the design, development, and optimization of the Merchant Dashboard (analytics, settings, balances), Checkout Modal/JS SDK, Payment Links, and Invoices systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain the core Merchant Dashboard with analytics, settings, and balance views
- Develop and optimize the Checkout Modal, JS SDK, Payment Links, and Invoices systems
- Ensure visual layer and user interfaces are intuitive, accessible, and responsive
- Implement performance optimization strategies to achieve lightning-fast load times and seamless checkout experiences
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to maximize user conversion rates through UX improvements
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested frontend and backend code
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
- 5-9 years of software engineering experience with heavy focus on frontend frameworks (React or Vue)
- Strong full-stack capabilities with emphasis on exceptional user experiences
- Deep understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices
- Proven track record of optimizing web performance and improving conversion metrics
- Experience building scalable dashboards, checkout flows, or SDKs
- High empathy for users and product-minded approach to engineering
