Flutterwave is seeking a Senior Engineer to design and build an internal Backoffice Admin UI that empowers Operations, Risk, and Customer Support teams. This role focuses on creating pragmatic, functional tools that enable non-technical staff to resolve disputes, manually override KYC decisions, and access transaction trails without requiring SQL queries or engineer assistance.
Key responsibilities include designing the admin UI architecture, developing secure workflows for manual interventions like dispute resolution and KYC overrides, creating interfaces to expose transaction data safely, and implementing strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure staff access only authorized information. You will rapidly prototype and ship functional features to address operational bottlenecks, maintain audit trails for all manual interventions, and work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on tooling.
The ideal candidate prioritizes speed-to-delivery and operational utility over pixel-perfect design. You should have 5–9 years of software engineering experience with full-stack or backend capabilities, a strong understanding of internal security principles and authorization frameworks, and experience building admin dashboards or internal portals. Solid database knowledge and the ability to translate complex SQL requirements into secure API endpoints are essential. You must communicate effectively with non-engineering stakeholders and be comfortable collaborating directly with operations teams to understand their needs.
This is an individual contributor role focused on building high-impact internal infrastructure that directly improves team efficiency and security posture.
