Showpad is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take technical ownership of a mature document automation SaaS platform as it transitions into its final lifecycle phase. The role emphasizes system stability, infrastructure maintenance, incident management, and targeted improvements while upholding high engineering standards.
You will integrate hands-on technical execution with team-level leadership, ensuring the platform remains reliable and maintainable. The SaaS product generates Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDFs, hosted on Microsoft Azure with containerized workloads on AKS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, update, and optimize Azure infrastructure including AKS, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and networking components (VNet, NSG, Traffic Manager, App Gateway)
- Take end-to-end ownership of platform stability and maintenance, addressing bug fixes, enhancements, and system improvements
- Design and implement safe, incremental changes across backend (.NET/C#), database (Entity Framework), and frontend (Angular) while ensuring code quality
- Lead production incident triage, debugging, and resolution with root cause analysis
- Enhance monitoring, alerting, and telemetry using Application Insights
- Serve as technical leader within the team, guiding engineering decisions and mentoring junior engineers
- Document system architecture, workflows, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with customer success to resolve client-specific issues
- Support controlled system wind-down or migration efforts as needed
Required Experience:
- 8+ years professional software engineering experience
- Extensive C# / .NET development expertise
- Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience (AKS, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, networking)
- Experience with containerized applications and cloud infrastructure
- Full-stack capability across backend and frontend (Angular, React, or similar)
- Solid database and Entity Framework understanding
- Proven ability to debug complex production issues and lead incident response
- Strong communication and mentorship experience
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Office/Document generation systems or SDKs
- Exposure to security and compliance practices (OWASP, SOC2)
