Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer with C++/C# expertise to join the Server Team at its Mumbai office (with additional openings in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune). In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain core server-side components that power enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience workloads at scale. You'll work on highly scalable, reliable, and high-performance software serving over 100,000 organizations globally. Key responsibilities include designing and developing mission-critical server components, building scalable enterprise software, participating in architecture and technical design reviews, writing clean and well-tested code, debugging complex production issues, and optimizing system performance. You will collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams across Product Management, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering groups. The role includes mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving innovation while maintaining product quality and reliability. You'll follow Commvault's Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), incorporating security throughout the development process. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree, 4+ years of software development experience, strong expertise in C++, C#, object-oriented design, and .NET. You should have solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux), multithreading and concurrency, data structures and algorithms, networking concepts, and distributed systems. Experience with debugging and performance optimization is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and comfort working in Agile environments. Security and SaaS experience are strongly preferred.
